How to connect to the VPN
How to Connect
If the FortiClient VPN application is already configured on your computer, you can simply double click the icon on your desktop or search for it in the start menu
Your username is the same as your computer username. For everyone except a few, your username is your firstname.lastname
Your password is the same as your computer password.
After entering your information click "Connect"
If it gets stuck connecting, check the taskbar. You should see two FortiClient Icons, one may be flashing.
It will be a security alert that you need to click "Yes" on.
Afterwards you'll get a notification saying you are connected.
How to Configure
If you have the FortiClient VPN application, but it is not configured you'll need to copy and paste a few settings.
1. Click Configure VPN.
2. Make sure you have SSL-VPN selected at the top
3. Give the connection a name (something like MSI or Machspec. It doesn't really matter though)
4. for the Remote Gateway enter 98.101.109.106
5. Check the box for Customize port and enter 10443
6. For Authentication you can select "Save login" and then type your username in the new field that just popped up.
